Artist Statement

I am:

  • An “un-realist” painter, Inventing my forms,
  • Amazed by the variety & richness of existence,
  • A discoverer of what is concealed,
  • Sure that the world and my paintings will be different tomorrow,
  • Fascinated by the interplay of light, motion, and form.

I know:

  • Color is no vice,
  • Scintillation is the source of vibrancy and vitality,
  • Nature is the source and we need this connection to thrive,
  • A blank canvas contains all possibilities,
  • The sublime and restrained allow participation,
  • The elemental (earth, air, water & light) encompasses all.

Thanks for bearing with me, and I hope you enjoy what has been brought forth.

“Salvation lies in nature … now more than ever.” — Pissaro
