Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started opening my own portfolio?

Send us a sample of your artwork to be reviewed using the contact form. After your artwork is accepted, we will contact you to begin your subscription.

Do I need a computer to list my artwork on Art Bark Gallery?

No. We can transact all business using the telephone and US Post.

Is there a limit to the number of images I can list in my portfolio?

No, not at this time.

Can I list sold artwork in my portfolio? What if I sell listed artwork?

You can list images of sold, unsold, or not-for-sale artwork in your gallery. It is completely up to you. If you wish, we can embed a red circle into the image with the word “sold”.

How do I add artwork to my portfolio?

Under the “Contact” menu you will find an item labeled “Image Upload”. Selecting this item will take you to the image upload page where you can select a file from your local computer. You must also fill in the media description fields before the image can be uploaded. Please allow five business days in order to remove an image listing from your portfolio. A fee is charged for posting new images or replacing listed images.

How do I remove artwork from my portfolio?

You can remove artwork from your portfolio at any time. Simply contact Art Bark Gallery from the Contact page with a description of the pieces you wish to have removed.  Please allow five business days in order to remove an image listing from your portfolio. There is no fee charged for this service.

What image format is used to display my gallery portfolio?

Displayed gallery images are pre-processed to be file type: JPG, DPI: 72 pixels per inch, max image height: 500 pixels, max image width: 500 pixels, max file size: 120 Kb.

What about copyright protection for my images?

Your digital images can be protected by hidden copyright watermarks or a copyright statement can be “burned” into the displayed image or appended to an extended canvas. In general, the quality of the photos listed in your portfolio (72 DPI, 500×500 pixels) make them unsuitable for printing. Make sure you notify us by email before your image is posted if you want us to add a copyright watermark.
